Tony Dipre
Men's Track and Field
Allegheny's Tony Dipre set a meet record and posted an NCAA automatic-qualifying time while winning the mile at the North Coast Athletic Conference Indoor Track and Field Championships. He was also a member of the winning Distance Medley Relay team for the Gators, who placed third among nine teams at Denison.

Dipre, who was named the NCAC Distance Runner of the Year, claimed his individual win with a time of 4:10.84 and held off Denison's Makorobondo Salukombo (4:12.23). The previous meet record was set in 2009 by the Gators' Jeramie Parker (4:13.89). The Blue and Gold has now won three straight indoor miles at NCACs.

Mike Vlah, Alex Gorski and Chris Marker joined Dipre on the DMR squad, which clocked in at 10:35.79.
Beth  Muller
Women's Track and Field
Beth Muller fell one win short of her second straight sprint trifecta, but still won the 55- and 200-yard dashes, to lead the Allegheny women's indoor track and field team to third place out of eight teams at the North Coast Athletic Conference Championships at Denison. She was named Sprinter/Hurdler of the Year for the second straight season.

Muller repeated as the 55 champ with a time of 7.51 seconds and then successfully defended her title in the 200 (:26.37).

As the defending champ in the 400, Muller was beat out by Marissa Clardy of Oberlin. Muller finished the race in 1:00.08 while Clardy came in at :59.39.

Gators tripped up by Wabash

CRAWFORDSVILLE, Ind. -- Chris Brennan scored the only goal for the Allegheny men's soccer team, which fell to Wabash, 4-1, in North Coast Athletic Conference play on Saturday.

With the Gators down 2-0, Brennan connected for his score in the 64th minute. Gator goalkeeper Andrew Shirley finished with three saves.

Femi Oluyedun completed a hat trick for Wabash. Ian Kelly added a goal and an assist while Jon Funston and Dylan Andrew dished assists.

Kelly opened the scoring in the 28th minute for the Little Giants and received an assist from Funston. Oluyedun tallied his goals in the 37th, 78th and 90th minutes. Kelly assisted Oluyedun's first goal and Andrew helped the last, which came with 54 seconds left in the game.

Matt Paul earned the win in net for Wabash (7-5-1, 2-2-0).

The Gators (5-5-1, 0-2-1) will return to action on Wednesday when they host Hiram. Game time is set for 7:30 p.m.
