GRANVILLE, Ohio -- The Allegheny women's soccer team met a ranked team for the first time this season and struggled mightily, falling 3-0 to No. 22 Denison in North Coast Athletic Conference action on Saturday.

The Gators were outshot, 17-1, managing only one shot on goal by Nicole Mascia.

Jen Clemmer led the Big Red (10-2-1, 3-0-0) with two goals and an assist. She assisted the game's first goal, which was also the game winner, by dribbling the ball down the right side and sending a cross pass into the 18-yard box where teammate Anna Rusch finished it. The tally came in the seventh minute.

Clemmer struck for her scores in the 39th and 63rd minutes. The later goal was assisted by Maggie Hoskin, who sent a cross to Clemmer from the left side.

In goal for the Gators, Emily Karr stopped three shots. Winning goalkeeper Courtney Cobb made one save in 77 minutes before being relieved.

Allegheny (8-4-1, 1-1-1) will be in action next on Tuesday when it visits Oberlin. Kickoff is scheduled for 7 p.m.
