Facaros earns weekly accolades
Junior named to D3Football.com Team & NCAC Defensive Player of the Week

MEADVILLE, Pa. – Sid Facaros has been named to the D3Football.com Team of the Week and the North Coast Athletic Conference (NCAC) Defensive Player of the Week for the game of Oct. 10 against Carnegie Mellon.
Facaros,a junior strong safety, forced a fumble and recovered it late in the fourth quarter to set up the Gators (4-1) game-winning touchdown. He also led Allegheny with a career and game-high 13 tackles, including 10 solo. Facaros also had a sack for a loss of 13 yards.
On the season, he has 30 tackles and is tied for first on the team with three interceptions.
The Gators returns to action on Saturday at home against Denison. Game time is 7 p.m.
