RICHMOND, Ind. – Jordan Leopold had 15 kills and 24 digs to lead the Allegheny volleyball team to split on the second day of the North Coast Athletic Conference (NCAC) Power Weekend held by Earlham.

 

The Gators (13-14, 7-6 NCAC) defeated Earlham 25-19, 25-21 and 25-19 in the first match before falling to Wooster, 3-0 (25-13, 26-24, 25-18). Caitlin Solan posted 17 kills on the day, while Winnie Wong tallied 22 digs, including 14 in the first match.  

 

Against the Quakers, Caileigh Hughes recorded 34 assists and four aces. Sarah Sckena led in digs with 14 and Solan knocked down nine kills.

 

In the second match vs. the Fighting Scots, Wong stepped into the setter position and tallied a season-best 24 and starter Hughes had a game-high 20 digs. Solan and Leopold added eight kills each.

 

Allegheny returns to action on Wednesday against Oberlin. Game time is 7 p.m.
