MEADVILLE, Pa. -- The Allegheny men's soccer team celebrated the 75th anniversary of its program, but then fell to Denison, 3-0, on Sunday at Frank B. Fuhrer Field.

The Big Red scored three second-half goals en route to the North Coast Athletic Conference victory. Ryan Torgerson netted the first score in the 52nd minute, finishing a rebound after Ish Ghodbane drove a shot off the crossbar.

Tucker Mauke struck next for Denison, accepting a through ball from Ghodbane in the 59th minute and beating Allegheny goalkeeper Andrew Shirley. Peter Shorten added the third visitor goal, converting a penalty kick during the 70th minute.

Shirley made three saves for the Gators while Kevin Donahue of Denison stopped three shots for the shutout.

Allegheny will be in action next on Saturday when it visits Wabash for an 11 a.m. start.
