MEADVILLE, Pa. -- Molly Waggoner and Leanne Ianniello scored one goal each to lead the Allegheny women's soccer team past NAIA foe Daemen, 2-0, at Robertson Field on Saturday.

Waggoner scored her goal in the 48th minute. She sent a cross pass to the front of the net which Daemen goalkeeper Stephanie Aurand tried to field. The ball slipped from Alfieri's hands and across the goal line, giving the Gators a 1-0 lead.

Ianniello added her first collegiate goal during the 85th minute. Kira Kliment booted a corner kick toward the front of the net where Ianniello finished it.

Gator goalkeepers Becca O'Shurak and Kelsie Mozzoni split time. O'Shurak made one save in the first half before Mozzoni stopped one shot in the second. Mozzoni was credited with the win.

For the Wildcats (3-5), Marisa Alfieri and Aurand had three saves each.

Allegheny (6-3) will play its next game on Wednesday, Sept. 4, when it visits John Carroll. Kickoff is set for 4 p.m.
