Men's Soccer Program Hands Out Annual Awards

The Allegheny men's soccer program held its annual team banquet and recognized four award-winners at Cochran Hall in the Tippie Alumni Center on Saturday.
A pair of juniors earned the team's Most Valuable Player awards. D.J. Egan, who tied for second on the team with 11 points, was named the team's Offensive MVP. He finished with five goals and one assist. As the center back, Seth Young was honored as the Defensive MVP in his first season as a team captain.
Senior Tom Ludwig earned the Team Award -- an award given to the player who demonstrates leadership in a variety of categories, including academics, citizenship, work ethic and playing ability. Ludwig, an Environmental Science major with a minor in Psychology, tied for fourth on the squad with nine points (four goals and one assist).
Freshman Chris Brennan was the team's Most Improved Player. He led the team in scoring with 12 points (five goals and two assists) and scored a point in six of the last seven Gator contests. Brennan was also an All-North Coast Athletic Conference Honorable Mention.
