MEADVILLE, Pa. – Bethany, Carnegie Mellon, and Case Western Reserve will occupy the three weeks not designated for North Coast Athletic Conference play in Allegheny football’s 2010 campaign. Bethany and Case Western are two new opponents that dotted the 2010 schedule when it was released by the Allegheny coaching staff.
The Gators travel to Bethany, West Virginia on September 4 to open the season with a new opponent, before returning home to face Carnegie Mellon the following week. Allegheny then opens up the conference line up with Wittenberg on Sept. 25 at Frank B. Fuhrer Field.
Case Western is another newcomer on the 2010 slate, renewing the rivalry that came to a halt in 1997. The Gators travel to Cleveland, Ohio to take on the Spartans on October 2.
Kenyon and Ohio Wesleyan round out the Gators home schedule, while trips to Denison, Wabash, Hiram and Oberlin balance out the season’s road itinerary.
