Women's Basketball Hands Out Annual Awards

MEADVILLE, Pa. – The Allegheny women’s basketball program held its annual team banquet on Monday night at East AlCove on campus, where the coaching staff handed out four awards during the event.
Junior Jill Gregory won the Most Valuable Player Award (The Gator Award) after being named to the All-North Coast Athletic Conference (NCAC) First Team and leading the squad with 14.2 points per game. Freshman Greta Pszenny took home the Most Improved Award (Blue & Gold Heart), while senior Shannon Culbreath earned the Gold “A” award for the Defensive Player of the Year honor.
The Allegheny Award was presented to senior Brittany Bell. This award is given to the player who demonstrates a commitment to the program, a strong work ethic, and a passion for the game. This player also is an ambassador for the Allegheny College Women's Basketball program on the court, in the classroom, and throughout the community. Bell was an All-NCAC honorable mention for the second time in her career. She knocked in 59 triples to help average 9.9 points per game.
