Men's and Women's Basketball Team Up for Community Weekend

The Allegheny men’s and women’s basketball teams are sponsoring a weekend of community building and competitive instruction at the Wise Sports and Fitness Center on Sept. 17-18. Friday’s feature is Kids Night Out, with Gator Hoop School following the next day.
On Friday, the Blue and Gold basketball programs invite all kids grades 2 through 8 for a night of games, food, and fun at the Wise Center. Parents can enjoy a night on the town while the kids enjoy a night of fun activities with the community’s local hoop stars. The event will run from 6-9 pm, and will cost $10 per child. Check in will be at the student entrance of the Wise Center, and will be limited to the first 50 kids. On Saturday, the programs will again be offering their services to the community through a one-day instructional clinic for boys and girls. Boys and girls between 3rd and 8th grade are invited to participate in the Gator Hoop School while meeting and working with the coaches and players of Allegheny’s basketball programs.
