The Allegheny Advantage

SAAC

Purpose from Constitution
The purpose of Allegheny College Student-Athlete Advisory Committee is to advance communication between Allegheny student-athletes, administration and faculty. Additionally, the committee will strive to promote healthy, working relationships with the greater college community, the NCAC, the NCAA and the City of Meadville. Finally, the Committee will encourage and safeguard the well being of Allegheny College student-athletes and foster an atmosphere of good sportsmanship and cooperation between the College’s teams.

Representation
Each of our 21 varsity intercollegiate athletic teams is requested to have two representatives present at each of our meetings to give input on issues and topics that arise. More participants from each team are welcome, however only two will have the vote when necessary. While it works best if the same students are present at each meeting, team representation is critical to our discussions and it is the goal to have students find replacements when they have conflict.
